We first used Lutgens to replace windows and doors in our house in 1997. After the first experience with them, they are the only company we contact when we need work done. They have done additional replacement window work for us and replaced the siding on our home. We are very happy with the work they do, the way the crew is pleasant and professional, and hope to be calling them soon to get started on a kitchen remodel.

Kim, here are the pictures of some of the children that received backpacks due to John's generous donation of $1500 to Redeemer Church Center for Life. The church is located in North Minneapolis and received the gift from John to outfit 175 backpacks with school supplies for children of the community. The partnership with the "Breakfast Club" and COSTCO and John's donation made school supplies and backpacks a reality for 175 children from the city. An unbelieveable gift to an area that needs this kind of help and makes such a difference in people's lives. John's philosophy to give directly to local agencies who then directly give to the community with little or no overhead is tremendous. Those gifts make such an immediate impact. To have a business owner give back to the community he is working in, that has been devastated, demonstrates the caring and integrity of John and his company. I know it is something his parents would be so proud of. His family and community should be as well. I know when we asked John to come down here and help our neighbors we wanted to protect them from unethical people. Our neighbors, who we care deeply about and in their time of need, needed someone who would take the time to guide them thru the process and make sure someone was their advocate. John is still on scene as the process continues to grind on. Little did any of us know what a long process this would be. Having John in our corner made all the difference in the world.
In addition to the backpack donation John also donated all the aluminum from the siding of a house that was damaged. The money from that scrap made it possible to create a beautiful new education room at the Firefighter's Hall and Museum in Minneapolis. It is unfortunate that the tornado hit our community but due to the Lutgen Company's generosity we have been able to make some tremendous improvements-there is a silver lining when people like John come to help.

I just saw an article in the St. Cloud Times concerning your cookout fundraiser for the various charities, and wanted to extend to you my personal thank you. Your dedication to serving the community as a whole has truly made St. Cloud, indeed all of Minnesota, place to live.
You all serve as a shining example of selflessness in an often selfish world. St. Cloud needs more servants like all of you. I sincerely hope the 2nd annual Cookout for a Cause went well, and from the picture it appears you all had a good time!
I understand as well you run a family business, and as a business person myself I cannot help but be glad when I learn of other successful business operations. Providing jobs in this economy is no easy task, and not to be overlooked. Nate's initial meeting with me, then his coming back a second time with a different shingle to consider that turned out to be an improvement on my earlier choice. The color and definition in that final choice brings out the like colors in the brickwork and enhances the beige siding.

I would like to let you know what a great experience my wife Ann and I have had working with you and your entire crew. As you know, I work in a service department at a luxury car dealer where I'm expected to give them elite service. With that in mind, I have troubles at times finding that same kind of service with other companies I do business with in my personal life. I have been remodeling my entire two story home from the inside out for the past 2 1/2 years. I have done a lot of work myself, but did hire parts of the projects out, and by far out of all of the companies we have done business with, Lutgen Companies has been our best experience.
You drove to our house several times to deal with our insurance company even though our home is 45 minutes from your shop. Your crew showed up before 7am on the day they started the roof project and when they started the siding project just so I didn't have to be late to work and we could go over everything that needed to be done since I had a few special requests during the projects. The crew was always willing to answer our questions even if they were not the one in charge and all of them were very friendly. They always had a smile on their face.
Your staff has really surprised us with their attention to detail and how much pride they took in their work and their wanting to make sure our house looked perfect. They replaced a small piece of new trim days after original installation because they noticed there was a dent in it. This attention to detail resulted in an absolute picture perfect final product.
We will continue to pass on the highest remarks to all of our family and friends and anyone else we know who are looking for any siding, roofing or remodel work to be done on their home.
We really appreciate your entire staff's hard work, it was a pleasure doing business with you. Please pass this letter to your entire staff.

Dear Mr. Lutgen:
Over the past few years we have worked with Lutgen's on several projects, some optional, and others just plain necessary due to the whims of nature. Specifically, we have replaced all of our windows, built a beautiful screened-in porch, and twice, have needed repairs due to large trees falling on the house in October 2010 and again in July 2011. Throughout all of these projects, we have been impressed, not to mention grateful at times, that we know who to call to get the job done well, and as quickly as possible. Lutgen Companies is a company that believes in excellent customer service. Justin does his job so well and I didn't feel that any question I asked him was a dumb question. Nick and the roofing crew where awesome and my yard and the cleanup was done the way I like things to look when a job is complete. I even had a couple neighbors comment that they where very surprised how well the cleanup was done. I know I will be using Lutgen Companies again for jobs that I will need done. Our project included shingles, windows, doors and siding. My wife and I could not believe how painless this was for us as homeowners. I told the guys from Lutgens if we knew it was this easy we would have done this project a lot sooner. The installers were neat and clean regarding the new materials, taking away the old material, installing wood trim inside around the doors and windows, and picking up the nails outside. Overall very very satisfied and would highly recommend this company for any project!

We were very impressed with the roofing job, from the first meeting with Justin, to the final clean-up. Justin clearly outlined the whole process to us and answered all of our questions. We were contacted several times concerning the start of the roofing job. The roof looks great! We were very impressed with the clean-up after the job - - there was nothing left on the lawn and the patio was swept and the furniture put back in place. Everything was done very professionally.

The distributor had the wrong color from the factory. The installers came back twice to make sure we had all the right colors for our downspouts. I couldn't be happier with the job. The price was fair, and a job well done!!
